How to Make Mason Jar Salads

Vertical Mason Jar V2 01

Need a lightning-quick lunch idea? Fill up a few mason jars with your favorite healthy salad ingredients and dressing, seal with the lid and then store in the fridge for up to three days. They’ll be ready and waiting when you need a grab-n-go meal!

To start, how you layer is important because no one likes soggy salad:
  1. Add the dressing first. Having the dressing on the bottom of the jar keeps it from being absorbed by the rest of you fixings. When you’re ready to eat, simply give the jar a few good shakes before you open.
  2. Layer in hearty grains or veggies. Pack-in chickpeas, carrots, broccoli, or cherry tomatoes. Choose options that won’t soak-in dressing easily.
  3. Fill with the fixings. Add your favorite ingredients like cheese, nuts, or seeds – anything you want to keep nice and dry until you’re ready to eat.
  4. Top with greens. Finally, add a layer of leafy greens, and you’re ready to go!
